What You Need to Know About the iPhone 15 and 15 Pro

Titanium Design

The iPhone 15 and 15 Pro models are made of aerospace-grade titanium, which is strong yet lightweight, making them the lightest Pro models ever. The titanium alloy is also more durable than stainless steel, which was used in the previous generation of iPhones. The new design also features contoured edges and a customizable Action button, which lets users personalize their iPhone experience by assigning different functions to it, such as launching apps, taking screenshots, or activating Siri.

OLED Display

The iPhone 15 and 15 Pro models feature OLED displays that deliver stunning colors, contrast, and brightness. The displays can reach up to 2,000 nits peak brightness for HDR content, which is ideal for watching videos or playing games. The iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max also have an always-on display feature that shows important information such as time, date, battery level, and notifications without waking up the screen. Additionally, the Pro models have a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, which makes scrolling and animations smoother and more responsive.

A17 Pro Chip

The iPhone 15 Pro Max models are powered by the A17 Pro chip, which is Apple’s most advanced processor yet and has never been used in earlier models, not even in the iPhone 14 Pro Max. The A17 Pro chip delivers next-level performance and gaming experiences, with up to 50% faster CPU and GPU performance than the A16 chip. The A17 Pro chip also supports new video formats that enable powerful pro workflows that were not possible before, such as editing 8K videos or creating immersive AR experiences.
